I used my Extension to build my Extension

I often say that I used my tool to build my tool - and honestly, it’s true to some degree, and I know it can make your work flow much simpler!

As a manager, I have to be on top of things. I tried different todo apps including using plain text tools like notepads but I noticed that unless the tool is always in front of me, I tend to easily lose track and it quickly starts getting out of date. I also had trouble hunting for the right tabs, especially when in meetings where I would always get distracted in order to find my tools. It didn’t feel right.

Having previous experience building Chrome extensions, I initially decided to create one to make Google Tasks available on every tab. The reason I picked Google Tasks is it integrates well with the Google ecosystem out of the box.

And here’s the fun part - each tool I integrated since then helped me speed up the development of the next one - especially when I added Ai.

Having these tools easily accessible was a game-changer and I’m excited to see how it can help others!
